The moment you're in

You know AI matters.
You're just not sure what to do next.

Every week brings a new tool, a new headline, a new promise. Your competitors are experimenting. Your board is asking questions. And somewhere in the middle of all that noise, your business is waiting for something real — not another pilot that goes nowhere, not another consultant who arrives with a framework and leaves with a cheque.

We help you find the two or three places where AI will actually move the needle for your organization. Then we build it, test it, measure it, and hand it to your team in a form they can run without us.

No jargon. No shelfware. No dependency on us for results to stick.

Who we work with

Three kinds of organizations.
One kind of commitment.

Whether you run a $3M trades company or a $300M distributor, the process starts the same way — with one honest conversation about where AI can genuinely help.

Canadian businesses
of every size

From a $3M professional services firm to a $300M distributor — if you have a real operational problem and the will to fix it, we can help. Small businesses get our AI Quick Start. Growing mid-market companies get the full suite. Every engagement is fixed-price, so you know the cost before we start.

PSIB eligible

Federal and provincial government

Michif AI Partners is registered on the Indigenous Business Directory and eligible for PSIB procurement set-asides. Federal departments and agencies can engage us directly through Indigenous procurement channels — no competitive tender required for qualifying work.

Indigenous communities
and organizations

First Nations bands, Métis governance bodies, Indigenous health authorities, and economic development corporations. We understand your data sovereignty requirements and design every solution around OCAP® principles. Your data stays yours — on Canadian infrastructure, under your governance. Always.

Data sovereignty

The cloud is American.
Your data doesn't have to be.

Most Canadian businesses are already deep into AWS, Azure, Atlassian, and Microsoft 365. We don't ask you to leave them. We show you how to configure them so Canadian data stays on Canadian infrastructure — and where that isn't possible, we design the data flow so only safe, minimized information crosses the border.

Amazon Web Services Canadian regions

ca-central-1 (Montreal) and ca-west-1 (Calgary) for compute, storage, and AI services. We configure Service Control Policies that prevent data from leaving Canada, and set S3 bucket region locks and RDS instances to Canadian regions by default.

Microsoft Azure + M365 Canadian regions

Canada Central (Toronto) and Canada East (Quebec City). We verify M365 tenant data residency configuration — many Canadian organizations are unknowingly running on US-region tenants. Azure OpenAI and Copilot data residency follows M365 tenant settings we help configure correctly.

Atlassian + Rovo Configuration matters

Atlassian offers data residency options for Jira and Confluence. Rovo AI reads your internal documents — we scope exactly what it can access, review Atlassian's DPA for PIPEDA compliance, and produce a clear acceptable-use policy for your team before Rovo touches anything.

AI APIs — Claude, OpenAI Data design first

These process data on US infrastructure. Our approach: design every prompt and integration so PII and sensitive data never enters the request. AI reasoning happens on de-identified or non-sensitive content only. We document the acceptable boundary clearly so your team always knows what's in bounds.

Every engagement we deliver includes a Data Sovereignty Snapshot — a one-page map of where your data lives, what's configured correctly, and what needs to change. It's yours to keep on file for PIPEDA and Bill C-27 compliance purposes.

How we work with you

From first conversation
to lasting capability.

Every engagement is fixed-price — you know the full cost before we start. No billable-hour surprises. Here are the five ways we work together.

Why Michif AI Partners

We've been in rooms
like yours before.

A few things that make this different from the next AI firm that lands in your inbox.

Enterprise credibility,
not theory

Our founder spent 20 years in large enterprise environments, including serving as Product Owner for a platform responsible for $1.9 billion in annual revenue. We don't theorize about what works inside complex organizations. We've lived it — and we know where AI gets blocked, championed, and scaled.

We navigate US tools
for Canadian businesses

You don't need to leave AWS, Azure, Atlassian, or Microsoft 365. You need someone who knows how to configure them correctly. We set Canadian data residency on every tool we touch, design data flows that keep PII off US infrastructure, and leave you with written evidence of due diligence — not just a verbal assurance.

We speak both
languages

Most AI firms speak one language fluently: technical. We speak two. We translate the real possibilities of AI into the language of boards, CFOs, and operations teams — and translate business requirements into systems that function in the real world. The gap between those languages is where most AI projects fail.

Indigenous procurement
eligible

As a Red River Métis-owned business registered on the Indigenous Business Directory, Michif AI Partners is eligible for PSIB procurement set-asides. Federal departments and government-adjacent organizations can engage us directly through Indigenous channels — streamlining the path to trusted AI expertise.

About Michif AI Partners
"The Métis were the translators. When two worlds met and had no shared language, it was the Métis who made everything possible — not because we belonged entirely to one world or another, but because we could move between them."

That history lives in the name of this company, and in the work we do every day. I walk into boardrooms and help CEOs understand what AI can and cannot actually do for their business. I sit with Indigenous governance bodies and help them own and control their data in an AI-powered world. The technology changes. The need for a trusted translator doesn't.

I spent 20 years building enterprise technology at scale — product ownership, agile team leadership, automation, and AI implementation across organizations responsible for billions in revenue. I started Michif AI Partners because the most powerful technology in the world is only as valuable as the people who can actually use it.

We are proudly Red River Métis, registered with the Métis Nation BC, and committed to building something worth handing to the next generation.
